Buzzfeed editor spots a 'fake news' Halloween costume at Walmart (and 'the offended blue check marks are piling up')

We told you last month about a “fake news” Halloween costume that was spotted at Walmart. Frankly we’re a little surprised the retail giant hasn’t yet been pressured to remove the tribute to modern-day “journalism” from the rack, but, according to this tweet from Buzzfeed editor Ben Smith, the costume remains on store shelves:

You might recall that the Newseum sold “fake news” shirts and merchandise, but journos and others had such a fit that they were pulled from the shelves. Walmart might be about to get some strongly worded letters as well:
