Chris Cuomo, who works for the cable network that’s shocked because more Republicans don’t want to show up to be publicly shamed in the wake of more mass shootings, has spotted an opportunity for everybody to come together, and that’s by agreeing with Democrats:
Why are so many republicans ducking this? There are no sides to condemning hate and wanting white nats included in all terror laws, is there? Be part of the solution! This effort is an obvious opportunity to come together!

First off, are Republicans “ducking” it?
But he did denounce it

Fact check: TRUE:
“In one voice, our nation must condemn racism, bigotry and white supremacy," said @POTUS. Expanding on his statement yesterday, he said, "these sinister ideologies must be defeated. Hate has no place in America. Hatred warps the mind, ravages the heart and devours the soul.” pic.twitter.com/z5VfmAeDOs

But there’s nothing that Trump or any Republicans could have said that the Left would have considered acceptable, so Dems can just pretend the remarks were either never said or were insincere:
Look outside you bubble. I’ve seen dozens of Gop’ers denouncing it. A simple search will show it to you

I've heard a lot of republicans condemning white supremacy.
What I haven't heard is democrats condemning Antifa.

Did it just get hot in here?
The Dayton shooter was a huge fan of Antifa… who *you* likened to the Allied troops storming the beaches of Normandy.

You compared Antifa to D-Day troops so can't imagine why people might think you're biased and not do your show https://t.co/dsUxh2vBQa

Cuomo responded to blowback this way:
Now do antifa chris

ANY group that motivates violence for a political end, especially if they are rooted here. You really want to give cover to white nats for some stupid tit for tat balancing with the left? Come on! https://t.co/F7T13SKJ4d

The Walmart was a gun free zone. The Dayton shooter was an Antifa sympathizer. Your narrative is transparently unsustainable.
— Phenom Comic (@PhenomComic) August 5, 2019
Whatever group promotes violence to a political end should be identified as a terror group under law. You are making this partisan when it isn’t. And the stats show – CLEARLY – white nats are the main threat here. Stop giving them cover for petty politics. https://t.co/gojCyzYmcO

Who is ducking?
You were ducking when it came to ANTIFA, we are not ducking when it comes to White Supremacy, find them, root them out one by one. https://t.co/KGa8zcsfuQ
— The Reagan Battalion (@ReaganBattalion) August 5, 2019
You see members of the right on tv discussing why this happens and what to do? Me either. Dozens ducking offer to address. See calls for stomping out white nats as terrorists? Me either. Stop playing politics and attack an issue that should unite us all. https://t.co/4jLddpY3hp

Trump was on TV Monday morning addressing it and what he thinks might help reduce the problem, it’s just that those answers aren’t the ones Democrats want to hear.
