As you know, Sarah Sanders said she’d be leaving the White House at the end of the month, ending her tenure as press secretary. Dan Rather weighed in this way:
Sarah Sanders, we hardly knew ya. Actually that’s not really true. Your tenure serving this administration will now be in the hands of historians to judge.

As they might say in Rather’s former line of work, “consider the source”:
Like that time an anchor for one of the major broadcasting networks tried to influence an election with a fake letter and a lie of a story. https://t.co/g3FyIVS2hH

Did it just get awkward? And yes, kind of like that.
This is an odd comment coming from someone not judged well by historians.

Dan Rather, the father of Fake News….your legacy of lies and deceptions used to attempt to influence an election is a disgraceful and disgusting Danny boy. Glass houses, Rather….Glass houses https://t.co/Oqs2yjWik4

Remind us Dan, how you screwed up your legacy and how you will be forever judged. https://t.co/8X1y8wejiX

Rather still believes he got the George W. Bush story correct.
