You probably know that CNN’s Jim Acosta has been making the rounds promoting his new book about how “dangerous” it is to “tell the truth in America,” especially ever since Donald Trump took office. The Godfather of Fake News, Dan Rather, agrees with Acosta, and judging from excerpts, the book is every bit as self-aggrandizing as we imagined.
During an interview with Don Lemon, Acosta described what his job as a “journalist” entails, and try not to laugh — especially considering that he said these things on CNN:
"We are defenders of the people, and we want to defend the people because we are devoted to the people," Jim Acosta said. pic.twitter.com/P2nmhN9dLw

If it’s a “dangerous time to tell the truth,” there are some who can breathe a sigh of relief because that’s not what they’ve been doing.
