As you know, some Democrats who are running for president have called for the abolition of the Electoral College in favor of a national popular vote. Here’s a small sampling:

And many other Dems have applauded those calls to scrap the Electoral College in favor of a national vote. With that in mind, perhaps the DNC could lead by example and show the nation how it should be done:
When is the national popular vote Democratic presidential primary?

Hey, great question!
I'm starting to hear from conservatives who want Dems to skip Iowa and NH, in favor of a one-day national primary vote. After all, if you think the electoral college is unfair, why not skip the delegate (and superdelegate) stuff and lead by example?

Maybe they should run their primaries this way first?

THIS is a great idea.
One national Democratic primary.
No delegates. Pure democracy.
Put your money where your mouth is Dems. Do it now.

Will the 2020 Democrat field call for a national popular vote to choose their candidate in lieu of state primaries that they say violate the “one person, one vote” rule nationwide? Yeah, we don’t think so either.
