Should Bill Maher explaining the difference between red and blue state voters be considered an in-kind donation to Trump's re-election? [video]

On Bill Maher’s “Real Time” HBO show, he slammed Amazon and said the company should have moved their new HQ to a place that “needed” it such as in a red state, and in the process Maher explained the difference between red states and blue states, obviously from the perspective of a blue state liberal:

From the article:

“That’s why red state voters are so pissed off. They don’t hate us, they want to be us,” the Real Time host said on Friday night. “They want to go the party. It’s like we’re the British royal family and they’re Meghan Markle’s dad.”

Maher quoted Hillary Clinton, who has said that during the 2016 election she won the “places that represent two-thirds of America’s gross domestic product.” Clinton has also boasted that she won over voters in areas that are “optimistic, diverse, dynamic, moving forward.”

“Maybe that has something to do with why Trump voters are obsessed with ‘owning the libs.’ Because the libs own everything else,” Maher quipped. “The blue parts of America are having a big prosperity party while that big sea of red feels like their invitation got lost in the mail.”

The HBO host continued to pile on the insult for red state residents…

Here’s the segment. Maher, after speaking of red states as if they’re third world countries, said Amazon should have considered moving to one to enlighten the culture and improve the economy. Perhaps New York progressives didn’t want that particular brand of enlightenment:

That kind of thing sounds familiar, and we know how it turned out the last time:

And isn’t the Left’s rap against Amazon that they don’t provide the kind of “living wage” jobs that make a real difference? And now Maher’s saying Amazon would help improve the economy of an entire state (as long as it’s not a blue one like New York)? We’re confused.

It’s worth noting that the top four states for people moving out last year, according to United Van Lines’ annual study, were New Jersey, Illinois, Connecticut and New York — all blue state utopias. Apparently not everybody has a “Wolfgang Puck” palate.
