If Democrats in December of 2017 were to be believed, the looming repeal of Obama-era net neutrality regs would be the end of the Internet as Americans’ knew it, and possibly even kill off anybody who had been lucky enough to survive climate change and tax cuts:
If #NetNeutrality is eliminated, the Internet may start to resemble a toll road, with the highest bidders cruising along private “fast lanes” while the rest of us inch along a single, traffic-choked public lane.

Thanks to #NetNeutrality your cable company can’t block or slow down what you read or watch online, and your wireless carrier can’t pick and choose the apps you download.
That could change. We must protect the open internet by calling (202) 418-1000.https://t.co/HXyGYhWrpb

This is an egregious attack on our democracy. The end of #NetNeutrality protections means that the internet will be for sale to the highest bidder. When our democratic institutions are already in peril, we must do everything we can to stop this decision from taking effect. https://t.co/8GGrJFMdrU

.@AjitPaiFCC has eagerly led the effort to saddle consumers with higher costs and less choice, throttle competition and punish entrepreneurs and small businesses. #NetNeutrality

#NetNeutrality rules were put in place to protect consumers. Repealing those protections would allow internet service providers to limit or block consumers’ access to the internet solely to boost corporate profits.

That same month, Obama-era net neutrality regs were repealed, and guess what — those Dems were wrong (again):
In the year since net neutrality was repealed, the U.S. has gone from 12th in the world for Internet speed to 7th. https://t.co/oHMWGsMgD4

Another Dem narrative bites the dust!
That’s only because so many people died it freed up more bandwidth https://t.co/Ora13NOlYA

That might be the only spin the Left will have at their disposal at this point.
Net neutrality made the internet so fast I've died at least 7 times already this morning. https://t.co/eNcurm833H

But we didn't get to enjoy it because we all died from the repeal https://t.co/o2rfZh5oC8

It's a shame none of us lived to see this. https://t.co/ZFK7lktf2W

It really is. Also, the Dems owe somebody a huge apology:
Reminder the left inundated Ajit Pai and his family with death threats over this. https://t.co/5fMLE3bQKf
— JWF (@JammieWF) December 31, 2018
I’m sure liberals are going to be lining up to apologize to @AjitPaiFCC and his family any time now… https://t.co/ULCf2qnUrB
