As Twitchy told you earlier, the New York Times published an article featuring current and former advisers to Sen. Elizabeth Warren heavily criticizing her decision to go public with her DNA test results, a choice that backfired big time on the possible candidate for the Democrat presidential nomination.
However, pollster Nate Silver sees some parallels between the Warren/DNA story and Hillary Clinton:
There's something very (Hillary) Clinton-esque about the Warren DNA test story and the way the press is handling it.
—Yeah she showed poor judgement.
—But it's a minor story treated like a major crisis.
—Probably a proxy for other concerns (and/or biases).https://t.co/9uRhvnWgET— Nate Silver (@NateSilver538) December 6, 2018
Considering who pushed hard to publicize the DNA test results, it’s hard to blame the media for making too big of a deal out of when when Warren was the one doing so:
She absolutely did. Don't you remember that video? That ain't cheap. She gave the results to the Boston Globe as part of the coordinated media rollout. You can't push a story that hard and then say 'actually, it's very minor'.

Right?
While I understand this view, it also relies on not seeing the Warren criticisms lodged by Native Americans and other minorities — two marginalized communities often ignored — as worth exploration. Ask them if it's a "minor story" and answer is no https://t.co/hzyo1CtM9C

HMM…
This would be a good comparison if Warren was under FBI investigation for her DNA test https://t.co/tFZgUD0ncv

SoS mishandling top secret documents to circumvent government oversight (most likely for personal gain) and destroying the evidence is a "minor" story. https://t.co/pChSGjjKph
