Count NBC News’ Chuck Todd among those in the media who aren’t fans of the Trump administration’s new set of “rules” for reporters in the wake of the controversy over Jim Acosta’s temporarily revoked press pass. Todd’s also making an assumption:
These aren’t exactly pro first amendment rules. I assume there isn’t a single serious journalist in the WH press corps who would abide by these absurd “rules.” Manners is one thing, but regulating follow ups is a form of censorship https://t.co/QuBsAPaJHa

Todd got some media agreement with his tweet:
Right you are @chucktodd. Only those seeking to curry favor will accept the “rules.” Real reporters will respectfully and persistently pursue answers. https://t.co/9mmEqB0tGz

exactly right https://t.co/hXtL33LrBi

Well, the press could always decide not to cover Trump pressers (or in general) in protest, but as Nancy Pelosi said, they seem to be basically addicted to the president.
Rules! We don't need no stinking rules!
Now imagine a guest on "Meet the Press" running roughshod over Chuck. Would stopping it be "censorship"? https://t.co/gqh0Z01wjw— Brent Bozell (@BrentBozell) November 21, 2018
Watch any press conference with the prior 3 President’s. Those are just the unwritten rules everyone seemed to abide by until Trump. And Acosta.

Well I guess they won’t be keeping their hard pass
