Senator Chuck Grassley will soon no longer be chairing the Senate Judiciary Committee, but another Republican will take over:
Chuck Grassley plans to trade his Senate Judiciary Committee gavel to lead the Finance Committee next year, he said on Friday — leaving Lindsey Graham in line to replace him as chairmanhttps://t.co/9lSKgRdBWx

I very much appreciate Senator @ChuckGrassley's leadership of the Senate Judiciary Committee.
He chaired the committee with a steady hand, sense of fundamental fairness, and resolve.
His leadership serves as a model to us all.

Graham said that if he’s the next Judiciary chair he’ll push for more conservative judges on the bench. The Democrats are not going to like the sound of this:
If I am fortunate enough to be selected by my colleagues to serve as Chairman, I will push for the appointment and Senate confirmation of highly qualified conservative judges to the federal bench and aggressive oversight of the Department of Justice and FBI. https://t.co/aGu4bXX1Hq

Graham was one of Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s staunchest defenders during the circus that surrounded his SCOTUS confirmation, so the Left will undoubtedly NOT be thrilled with this news.
This is the greatest time line. https://t.co/XjdAUcTbfO

The Dems are celebrating re-taking the House, but as far as judges go in 2019, the GOP-controlled Senate will still keep moving forward.
