Maryland Sen. Chris Van Hollen is among Dems criticizing President Trump’s summit with Kim Jong Un, as well as his tweets about what was accomplished:
Today President Trump tweeted that "there is no longer a Nuclear Threat from North Korea." This is truly delusional. It has same arsenal today as 48 hours ago. Does he really think his big photo-op ended the DPRK's nuclear program? Hope does not equal reality.

Tweeters were wondering if there was a similar criticism of certain previous administrations for touting deals with despots:
You know what else is delusional? Our former President, Barack Obama’s (you remember him right?) giving Iran billions of dollars in cash. Just wondering, we’re you ok with that? Asking for a friend.

It's rich that Democrats complain on Trump's deliverables but were silent when Obama visited Cuba for a baseball game & did the wave with Castro. Trump negotiates with KJU for more than 5 hrs. & you're upset? What a bunch of hypocrites!!!
Shut up & get in touch with reality. https://t.co/PsIRmBwRZ1

And of course the Obama administration basically saying they’d saved the Middle East from a nuclear war just after signing the Iran Deal wasn’t at all hyperbolic. *Eye roll*
We support the #IranDeal. It is the best path to achieve our goal of preventing Iran from building a nuclear bomb. pic.twitter.com/UnekgzWZwT
