“Morning Joe” co-host Mika Brzezinksi has previously indicated that women with harassment claims against men should be believed unless they’re accusing Al Franken. This week, Brzezinski indicated that her former MSNBC colleague Mark Halperin, who was fired in October after multiple sexual harassment allegations were made against him, should meet in person with his accusers and his accusers should agree to do so:
Brzezinski Reveals She's Tried to Connect Halperin With His Accusers to Apologize, Laments 'They Don't Want to Talk to Him' https://t.co/TLF8esDTmr

From the Free Beacon:
MSNBC “Morning Joe” co-host Mika Brzezinski revealed Friday that she has tried to connect Mark Halperin with the women who have accused him of sexual misconduct, saying they “don’t want to talk to him” and lamenting the “hypocrisies here” when men are not given the opportunity to apologize for their behavior.
One woman with accusations against Halperin, Emily Miller, did NOT appreciate Brzezinski’s actions:

"I can't retraumatize myself to be in the same room with him to please Mika Brzezinski and her rich and famous friends," Miller told @CNN – More on @MSNBC Mika public apology to Mark Halperin victims when we fought back. Story by @oliverdarcy https://t.co/VtevoCY9Co

Brzezinski said she remembered things differently:
—@EmilyMiller told me Mika had asked her to be a guest on TV with Halperin & that she declined.
Mika denied this. She said she invited Miller to the Know Your Value conference https://t.co/yuDpD7QiCu pic.twitter.com/yTxmawvDVg

However, Miller went into further detail:
When i was the first person to go public about these accusations, Mika called me and said Halperin denied it. She said she will "moderate" ON AIR between me and Haperin who sexually assaulted me. I have many people who will vouch for me. https://t.co/ha1UjOEQzA

Later on in the day, Brzezinski claimed to be sorry for saying Halperin’s accusers should meet with him face-to-face:

What are the odds Brzezinski would have make the same initial recommendation if the accused were a conservative? #RhetoricalQuestion
"It is disgusting and unethical of Mika to use the power of her show to shame me, a sexual assault victim, into meeting with the man who did that to me." More on my first on the record interview on Mark Halperin here: #MeToo https://t.co/OI3ovOWl0l

"She did invite me to go on the show with him so she could mediate and it had to be an exclusive. Basically she wants the ratings and Jerry Springer. And seemingly she now wants to help her rich powerful friend get back into power." – @EmilyMiller https://t.co/8PSQPT8dL2

Mika thought she could run over all of the victims– the "nobodies" in her mind — to rehabilitate the sexual assault predator Mark Halperin and get him back on TV. We stand united. #MeToo -> #PressForward https://t.co/kg65DY2RM2

Well said.
Emily, America agrees with you ma'am. No need to explain. Mika is wrong on this and on a whole more. Merry Christmas.

Now finally @morningmika @JoeNBC can get off their soapbox, apologize and work to keep their house in order! #insufferableMikaandJoe

Its not an apology, its a public relations move. Every statement she makes going forward will be PR damage control.
