As we reported earlier, an LA Times “online engagement editor” generated retweets by the thousands with a now deleted tweet which said “My friend’s husband died of glioblastoma in AZ. They wrote a letter to McCain begging for his help. He advised them to move.”

The original, now deleted tweet went viral quickly, getting over 10,000 retweets in a fairly short period of time. How fast is the apology spreading? Not nearly as fast:
