In August, Hillary Clinton attempted to blame Colin Powell for serving as the inspiration for her handling of email, but the former secretary of state didn’t appreciate being used as a scapegoat.
According to emails released by WikiLeaks, Cheryl Mills heard from Powell about any attempts to blame him for Hillary’s email — a warning that Mills forwarded to John Podesta:

The office of Colin Powell had previously confirmed that leaked emails from “CP” were written by the former secretary of state.

However, it looks like Powell’s irritation with Team Hillary’s attempts to toss him under the email bus weren’t enough to keep him from endorsing:

That endorsement happened in spite of what Powell alleged are Hillary’s husband’s at-home proclivities.
