The AP is reporting that President Obama will nominate Merrick Garland to fill the vacant seat on the Supreme Court.
The White House got a jump on Obama’s Rose Garden announcement today by launching yet another Twitter account. This one is intended to pressure the GOP-controlled Senate into voting on Obama’s nominee:
"Today, I will announce the person whom I believe is eminently qualified to sit on the Supreme Court." —@POTUS: https://t.co/utX9DUPsyf

Filling a #SCOTUS vacancy is not a political prerogative—it is a basic function and fundamental obligation. pic.twitter.com/wHRNpQ2ZlE

We’re sure the info the White House shares on @SCOTUSnom will be at least as confidence-inspiring and accurate as that from @TheIranDeal.
@mikememoli @SCOTUSnom best way to communicate with their ignorant base…"DERP…Rs are racist…DERP…blocking or something…DERP!"
