A former Planned Parenthood clinic in Iowa is now a self-described “life-affirming” pregnancy crisis center.

The LC Clinic in Creston, Iowa opened its doors last July. Ruth Fennessey, a registered nurse and the Executive Director of LC Clinic, had opened a crisis pregnancy clinic in Stuart, Iowa in March 2012. She was looking for a second location when she found a building in Creston that had used by Planned Parenthood.

Business at the Planned Parenthood clinic had been so bad that the building was vacant.

“We are a life-affirming clinic,” Fennessey said. “We do not perform abortions and we do not refer or recommend for abortions.”
