We already know some emails that have been released by the State Department show a very cozy relationship between members of the press and Hillary Clinton’s office when she was secretary of state.
Another email obtained by Gawker demonstrates how Philippe Reines, aide to then-Secretary Clinton, got Marc Ambinder of The Atlantic to publish favorable comments about Hillary:
New Emails Show Press Literally Taking Orders From Hillary Clinton https://t.co/iGQWiJUTBh pic.twitter.com/ciFqFFlW9t

Armbinder asked Reines for an advance copy of a speech Hillary Clinton was to deliver, and Reines agreed provided three demands were met. The first two concerned what Armbinder should write in his article, and the third demand was “don’t say you were blackmailed.” All demands were met.
Former Bush press secretaries Ari Fleischer and Dana Perino can’t believe it:
The press should be in an uproar over this. It's awful on both ends. https://t.co/ddHZDP6QEP

Ari – couldn't agree more. https://t.co/9gGKUQ8P5P

@DanaPerino Can u imagine the feeding frenzy that would have broken out of you or I sent an email like that? The press would have gone nuts.

I can't imagine ever asking for such a thing. And for SURE the press would have laughed at and exposed me. Right?! https://t.co/T6t6OU3aqB

@DanaPerino The reporter at the WH who got an email like that from u or me would have instantly gone public. Armbinder should have done same
