Bernie Sanders continues to run on a need to raise the minimum wage, but somehow even the current minimum wage serves as an important economic building block:
The minimum wage was originally described as “socialist.” Today it is seen as the foundation of the middle class.
— Bernie Sanders (@SenSanders) December 19, 2015
People see the minimum wage as the “foundation” of the middle class? Really?
@redsteeze @TomKattman @SenSanders What the hell? Who in the history of the world ever made that claim?

We’re not sure.
No it's not. https://t.co/ECBqUo3Uyz

@redsteeze @laurakfillault Middle Class? I thought minimum wage was below levels to support life?
— Crash Turkey Letalien (@Coach_Crash) December 19, 2015
Yeah, what gives? Sanders has said that “nobody who works 40 hours a week should be living in poverty,” so how is the minimum wage seen as the middle class “foundation”?
@redsteeze @SenSanders If that were true, it shows how badly @TheDemocrats policies have hurt the middle class.

@redsteeze first part is true, second not.

It's for teenagers and students. Don't have a family if you're making minimum wage. https://t.co/Ku4rzHhidp

In @SenSanders world, the middle class aspires to minimum wage jobs. In my world, min wage is for teenagers. https://t.co/s5BNp6NSQo

@redsteeze @SenSanders 16 year old children of middle class parents work for minimum wage to enter the work force – that is all

@redsteeze Explaining Econ 101 to @SenSanders would be the same as talking to a tree.

Government enforced price floors are still socialist. I feel like that's something you should know already, though. https://t.co/5JY5zoZfUG

And hey, why stop at a $15 minimum wage as the Left including Sanders have been calling for?
@redsteeze To use Bernie's logic: the min wage should be raised to $1,000/hr to make it foundation of wealthy class.
