'That was quick (not)': EPA inspector general to investigate agency's contamination of the Animas River

EPA head Gina McCarthy has already proclaimed that “the river is healing itself” after workers from her agency accidentally sent millions of gallons of toxic wastewater into the Animas, but an inspector general will take a look anyway:

More from the Free Beacon:

The inspector general for the Environmental Protection Agency announced on Monday that it is beginning an investigation into the agency’s role in triggering a massive toxic waste spill in southwest Colorado.

The IG alerted a number of senior EPA officials to the investigation in a memo released on Monday. “We will request documents, and interview relevant managers and staff in these locations and elsewhere as necessary,” the IG said.

Will a way be found to blame climate change instead of EPA bumbling? Will the EPA trigger another disaster in their attempt to investigate the disaster? Stay tuned.
