St. Louis County Police Chief Jon Belmar said that during a demonstration in Ferguson on the one-year anniversary of Michael Brown’s death, a man shot “a remarkable amount of gunfire” at police officers. Officers returned fire, critically injuring the man.
Politico reported it this way:
Police shoot man who allegedly fired at officers near Ferguson protests http://t.co/gxleFC7TJR

David Clarke, Jr., Sheriff of Milwaukee County, found the headline deceptive:
http://t.co/MPPJH8QYMs Wrong headline by lib media as usual. Early report is that SUSPECT FIRES SHOTS AT POLICE, POLICE RETURN FIRE.
— David A. Clarke, Jr. (@SheriffClarke) August 10, 2015
He fixed it for you, Politico! The MSM might not like Clarke’s version though because it doesn’t make police out to be the aggressor.
@SheriffClarke @michellemalkin Spin the narrative, repeat as neccessary. Retract on page 21 of 20 page paper. Wait until next story. Repeat.
