Actor George Takei recently called Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas a “clown in blackface” for his dissent on same-sex marriage, and said Thomas wasn’t fit to serve on the Court.
For MSNBC, that horrible racial insult wasn’t worthy of criticism:

“Clown in blackface” is calling him out?

"Calls out" a wonderful MSNBC/progressive euphemism for "uses retrograde racial slurs slandering a SCOTUS Justice." https://t.co/EI4BkhyIPN

Shameless.

Just imagine the outrage. But Thomas isn’t a liberal, so apparently he’s “fair game” for racist comments:
funny i don't remember @msnbc euphemizing Donald Trump's remarks @GeorgeTakei

Change the issue, remove Clarence Thomas and insert Barack Obama and I'm SURE the headline stays the same. https://t.co/AJDS3WURGp

Here's MSNBC excusing overtly racist comments. I wonder if NBCU will cut ties, like they did with Trump. https://t.co/uJWARdNUuB

Using racial slurs to call someone out? Stay classy @msnbc. @GeorgeTakei proves he is a racist. Where's the outrage? https://t.co/Gef7E3tYaT

Calling a Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States a "clown in black face" is not polite discourse. @msnbc @GeorgeTakei

"Calls out" now encompasses "uses horribly racist slur," according to @msnbc. Noted. https://t.co/Wupowl7jPb
