Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid isn’t happy at all that a group of 50 Republican senators wrote “an open letter to the leaders of the Islamic Republic of Iran.”
The letter informs Iran that any deal struck with the Obama administration might be short-lived:
“What these two constitutional provisions mean is that we will consider any agreement regarding your nuclear-weapons program that is not approved by the Congress as nothing more than an executive agreement between President Obama and Ayatollah Khamenei. The next president could revoke such an executive agreement with the stroke of a pen and future Congresses could modify the terms of the agreement at any time.”
Harry Reid reacted predictably:
Republicans are undermining our Commander-in-Chief while empowering Iran’s hardline ayatollahs.

Republicans don’t know how to govern, but they do know juvenile political attacks. They're undermining our Commander-in-Chief out of spite.

Benjamin Netanyahu’s shout-out to Reid did little to change his defense of the president’s approach to Iran.
@SenatorReid have you lost your mind? Your "commander-in-chief" is empowering Iran. Nobody is buying your bullshit anymore.

.@SenatorReid I'm old enough to remember when opposing a president's foreign policy was all the rages among Democrats? What changed?
