As Twitchy reported earlier today, a Scott Walker “hit piece” that originally appeared at Jezebel was debunked and exposed as a false attempt to make the Wisconsin governor look like he’s actively attempted to keep colleges from reporting sexual assaults.
The Jezebel reporter who wrote the debunked article announced an update:
UPDATE: After Jezebel ran this item yesterday, a spokesman for the University of Wisconsin came forward—over two weeks after the budget was released—to clarify: the University requested that Gov. Walker delete the requirements because efforts were redundant with their compliance of the Cleary Act. Scott Walker’s camp assures that he’s committed to protecting victims.
That’s an item the “reporter” could have found with a simple Google search, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t somebody else’s fault:

Amazing.
@natashavc that's your apology for lazy reporting?

@natashavc If that's your version of a retraction, you'll have to do better. You claimed Walker didn't want colleges to report rapes.

@natashavc So before he did what U/WI asked of him, Walker should've realized how stupid people would misunderstand what was happening? OK.

.@natashavc You are literally blaming your unwillingness to do a google search on others. The face of Jezebel.

@natashavc oh, aren't you cute? You're just like a real reporter only without the integrity or commitment to fact.

I hope there are screen shots of @natashavc 's malarkey… you don't get to be a hack, hit delete, pretend it never happened. @TwitchyTeam

@natashavc Nice "apology." I guess accuracy and honesty really don't serve your agenda. What should we make of that fact?

According to @natashavc she's a "reporter for Jezebel".
She seems blissfully unaware that's an oxymoron.
