When the new Congress reconvenes, Rep. John Boehner will once again be up for election as House Speaker.
Boehner will not have the support of Oklahoma Rep. Jim Bridenstine:

Last month Bridenstine voted no on the $1.1 trillion CRomnibus bill that had the support of Speaker Boehner. Bridenstein now opposes Boehner’s return to the speakership because he willingly “relinquished the power of the purse” to Obama.
Bridenstine is getting encouragement for his stand:
