Lena Dunham’s memoir, “Not That Kind of Girl,” contains passages that some allege describe Dunham’s sexual abuse of her younger sister. The story sparked plenty of criticism, and Dunham has canceled upcoming book tour stops in Europe.

Dana Perino is puzzled:
@iowahawkblog makes me wonder if the editor/publisher bothered reading the book. Didn't anyone say "ummm we better be prepared for this…"

Maybe they did read it, but in today’s media culture it either didn’t raise any eyebrows or was purposefully left in to add an element of the sensational:

@DanaPerino No, because they think they 'own' the culture and that no one would see this as disturbed. @iowahawkblog

@DanaPerino maybe they thought "as the voice of a generation (of buffoons) maybe kids are all into molestation these days" @iowahawkblog

@DanaPerino @iowahawkblog in their world, the shock is shocking. We're not their targeted audience. Also, for most ppl it's Lena who?
