Todd Akin, the Missouri Republican who lost the 2012 Senate race against Claire McCaskill after causing a lot of controversy with comments about “legitimate rape,” is making the rounds promoting a new book.
The former U.S. Rep. appeared on MSNBC’s “Daily Rundown” with Chuck Todd, and there wasn’t much mystery how many feel about the return of Todd Akin:
Go away Todd Akin. #forthekids

So will 2014's Todd Akin just be Todd Akin?

Todd Akin should fire whomever told him it was a good idea to go on national TV and ever utter the word rape again.

For the love of all that is good, can't Todd Akin just "shut the whole thing down"?

@WesleyLowery What power or authority does the GOP/NRSC/NRCC have to keep Akin off television? Short of hiring a hit man?
— Jim Geraghty (@jimgeraghty) July 17, 2014
@jimgeraghty @WesleyLowery Hasn't anyone thought of having Sheldon Adelson hire Akin as a well-paid casino greeter?

Did Chuck Todd make sure Akin’s “legitimate rape” comments were discussed?
"Legitimate" and "rape" used about 200 times in 2 minutes on @dailyrundown in Todd Aiken intv with @chucktodd

Todd Akin mentioned 'rape' 21 times (averaging once every 24 secs) during his Daily Rundown interview http://t.co/eUgr9SnnrX h/t @etchaStech

That would be a big “yes.”
