As Twitchy reported yesterday, Dinesh D’Souza’s new book, “America: Imagine a World Without Her,” had been pulled from shelves at all Costco stores.
Costco has now reversed course and is going to restock D’Souza’s book:
.@Regnery Thanks to YOU, Costco's furtive attempt at censorship FAILS and "America" is currently the #1 selling book in the country!
— Dinesh D'Souza (@DineshDSouza) July 9, 2014
Costco claimed the decision to pull the book was not based in politics in spite of co-founder Jim Sinegal’s cozy relationship with the Obama administration and other Democrats. However, the backlash after it was removed from shelves almost certainly contributed to the decision to restock the book:
@DineshDSouza you are welcome!! Saw the movie on the 4th…bought the book yesterday at Barnes and Noble because I was mad at Costco!???

Not only is Costco re-stocking the books they pulled from their shelves, but they’re ordering more, according to D’Souza:
My publisher informs me that Costco has ordered an additional 25,000 copies of my book "America"

D’Souza’s book has also been made into a movie of the same name.
