Jay Carney is resigning as President Obama’s press secretary, and deputy press secretary Josh Earnest has been named as his replacement.
Former CBS News investigative reporter Sharyl Attkisson passed along President Obama’s opinion of Earnest:
Obama says Earnest is "honest and full of integrity" and "a straight shooter."

Attkisson then described her experience with Earnest, and it was much different than how Obama described things:
Josh is apparently the White House official who has told the White House press office not to release Benghazi night White House photos to me

And has ignored a year and a half of our calls and emails to obtain the photos.

So in other words Earnest will continue with the same “historic levels of transparency” we’ve come to expect from this administration:

@SharylAttkisson Sounds like WH transparency will continue to go down the drain with this new Press Secretary.

@SharylAttkisson Appears Josh Earnest will undoubtedly continue the transparency we have become accustomed to.

Meet the new press secretary, same as the old press secretary.
