Chuck Todd, NBC’s chief White House correspondent and host of “Daily Rundown” on MSNBC, believes that CNN’s continual use of “breaking news” for stories about the missing Malaysia Airlines jet when there is no “new” information to report threatens to discredit the entire television news industry.
I know it may look like I am casting stones while potentially living in a glass house. But the mistakes of one news org hurts ALL of us

Todd’s criticism of CNN began a couple days ago:
Wait, so when did finding NOTHING get characterized as "breaking news"?
— Chuck Todd (@chucktodd) March 19, 2014
CNN’s ridiculous coverage and speculation about the fate of the Malaysia Airlines 777 aside, Todd’s admission that he could be throwing those stones from inside a glass house was a solid disclaimer.
This is rich MT @chucktodd: I am casting stones while potentially living in a glass house, but the mistakes of one news org hurts ALL of us.

As first reported by Politico, Vaughn Sterling, senior producer of CNN’s “The Situation Room” with Wolf Blitzer, returned Chuck Todd’s volley back into his side of the court:
