'It's a joke, right?' Anthony Weiner tweets political advice to NYC mayoral candidate

No joke!

In the New York City mayoral primary, Bill de Blasio currently has a little over 40 percent of the vote, which is the minimum percentage needed to avoid a runoff. Second place finisher Bill Thompson has yet to concede and wants all the votes counted in the hopes things will change and a runoff election will be necessary.

In 2005, Anthony Weiner, aka “Carlos Danger,” was in a similar situation, having finished in second place in the mayoral primary, but conceded rather than pushing for a runoff election.

Because of that experience, Weiner tweeted some advice today:

What politician looking to design a successful political career doesn’t want some words of wisdom from Anthony Weiner?

Let’s face it though, those two Weiner tweets could have been worse. Much worse.

Weiner hasn’t yet tweeted the second piece of advice, but it might be to always—alwaysgo out with dignity and class.
