It should be remembered that gay media was formed explicitly to fight suppression of speech by powerful forces determined to keep 'dangerous,' speech out of the public eye. Today those same outlets fight to keep any opinions they disagree with from being published or promoted on social media, always citing 'safety,' as their reasoning.

Self-loathing gay group sues Colorado for the “right” to misgender & deadname trans people
The 'right' to misgender and deadname trans people? When did trans people obtain the right to demand others address them, or even speak about them, only in the way they want? Mocking quotes around the very idea that a person has the right to refuse speech?
'The far-right-funded anti-gay activist group Gays Against Groomers is suing five Democrats in the Colorado legislature for impeding what they call their right to deadname and misgender trans people in public testimony.'
Well, yes, this is speech. Protected speech, to be very clear. The only conclusion here is the LGBTQ left feels recognizing trans nobility should be compelled speech.
'The lawmaker defendants 'have prescribed how critics of transgenderism must present their views during the public-testimony portion of committee hearings before the Colorado Legislature by prohibiting ‘misgendering’ or ‘deadnaming’ and otherwise requiring citizens to express fealty to transgender ideology under the guise of ‘civility’ or ‘decorum,' plaintiffs claim in the suit.'
Basically, the lawsuit is arguing citizens cannot be compelled to use preferred names and pronouns when describing trans-identified people in official proceedings. The alternative would be requiring a person to verbally express a belief they do not hold while legally arguing against the consequences of that belief.

Elon Musk will sue Australia for ordering X to remove a hateful post by an anti-trans activist
'Musk is going to bat for Canadian anti-trans activist Chris Elston – known among far-right fans as “Billboard Chris” – after Australia’s eSafety commissioner ordered X to take down an odious screed authored by the conservative online provocateur.'
Again, you can just hear the seething disgust at the notion speech should be protected from government censorship even if the individual personally disagrees with it.
If you've noticed the pattern, it should be pretty obvious how hypocritical they are being as well. They keep insisting each person involved is 'far-right,' an accusation of being fringe and inherently extreme. They toss around, 'anti-trans,' and 'hateful,' and assume their audience won't ask any questions.
These are bad people who don't deserve the same rights good people have, is the message. But their speech is just as hateful, bigoted and inflammatory as they accuse their opponents of.
‘The post had criticized an individual appointed by the World Health Organization to serve as an expert on transgender issues. X is withholding the post in Australia in compliance with the order but intends to file a legal challenge to the order to protect its user’s right to free speech,'
Imagine championing the removal of a criticism of a public official from the public viewing of an entire country. This is how China operates and apparently the ideal progressives hold for the rest of the world. As long as it only censors speech they don't like.
Ironically, criticizing rightwing public figures on their identities is very popular in LGBTQ leftwing media.
'In February, Media Matters published a report titled “Grifter Gays” detailing the lie that Gays Against Groomers is a grassroots organization, identifying founder Michell and her fellow co-chair David Leatherwood as longtime conspiracy-peddling pro-Trump operatives with deep ties to the likes of Trump-whisperer Roger Stone and “Stop the Steal” founder Ali Alexander, another gay man who says he is “battling with same-sex attraction.”'
Once again, proving they just want power to decide what speech is allowed and what isn't. It has nothing to do with 'safety,' or 'civility.'
Being opposed to free speech and expression sounds kinda fashy, y’all.

It's unconstitutional to force someone to call you by something or if you refer you as to something. Wearing different outfits is considered freedom of speech hand signs not just voice, when I wear my sundress in public that's freedom of speech.

They think as long as they decide it's 'hateful,' or 'harmful,' they have a right to tell you what you can say in public. The exact behavior these media outlets formed decades ago to fight.
They are the bullies they claim to be opposing.
Seems to be the story of all leftwing identity groups, and just like every other group in history engaging in these same tactics, one day their speech will be deemed unacceptable too.
