Oh to be back in the halcyon days of the George W. Bush administration, circa 2005. Remember when conservatives were up in arms about the president’s pick for Supreme Court Associate Justice?
Well, those days are apparently over after Chief Justice Roberts’ #ObamacareTax ruling today.
Zing! RT @chucktodd: @JoeDeaux @mattklewis so how would have Harriett Miers voted?

This NEVER would have happened if Harriet Miers was in the Supreme Court……

Quick question: Is it too late to trade Harriet Miers for John Roberts? LOL.

Dare I say that Harriet Miers might have been a better choice. #tcot

Despite the longing, history shows that once Ms. Miers’ nomination was doomed, President Bush nominated Samuel Alito instead, not Roberts.
There is always the outside chance that President Obama would nominate her if Justice Ginsberg steps down.
Too soon?
