Following a heartbreaking game 7 loss in the NHL’s Eastern Conference Semifinals, Washington Capital’s coach Dale Hunter has decided to step down from his position. Washington has never been Hunter’s dream job and he didn’t seem to like the scrutiny he was always under as the Capitals coach.
We don’t expect him to have any trouble finding a new gig if/when he wants to coach again. However, we won’t be surprised if he takes a year or two off.
Most fans of the team were shocked to see him go and wished him the best.
