I wondered if this woman had streamed this video live to the internet, but I see that she put in an overlay of a screenshot from her computer, meaning she shot the video, edited it, and then decided to hit "Upload" on purpose. Don't these people have anyone in their lives if they're going on an unhinged rant, or do they think we all have to suffer their mental breakdowns?
As I reported earlier this week, the Department of Education announced that starting next month, it would restart collection on student loans that were in default. This led some people to ask if President Trump wanted them "like broke and in jail or dead." No, just pay back the loans you took out.
I'm not sure where this lovely woman went to school, where she had to take out $46,000 in student loans to become a social worker. We did a piece earlier on Mike Rowe dropping some truth bombs on employment, trades, and college degrees. Did this woman study to become a social worker? She should quit her job and learn a trade … she'd make more money and be able to pay her loans.
Language warning:
Social worker in North Carolina completely snaps because she CHOSE to get a college education she couldn’t afford and then CHOSE to do a job that would never allow her to earn enough to pay off her student loan debt.

Her levels of rage don’t seem suitable for a social worker. pic.twitter.com/1Sh9p7B0x2
No, her levels of rage don't seem suitable at all. Again, if I were going totally unhinged, the last thing I'd do is grab my iPhone and capture it on video and upload it to the public.

I worked two full-time jobs 40 years ago in order to pay off my student loans, getting 4 hours of sleep each night for several years. But I paid back every penny, and I'm proud of my accomplishments. This woman's resentment is of her own making.

Don't let her hear you say that. She's not lazy.
She is an excellent example of everything that is wrong with this country.

A college education does not make you smarter than someone who knows what it means to take out a loan.
And therapists have been enabling the mentally ill.
Bless her heart.

What kind of degree did she get? Liberal studies?
— Sargon Salivo (@sargonsalivo) April 25, 2025
I earned a liberal arts degree. Both of my kids went into STEM fields and found jobs that pay way more than I ever made without any problem. And they've both paid off their student loans and car loans.
Apparently, they didn't teach personal finance or economics at her college.

Sounds like a personal problem.

Payments were paused and interest set to zero percent for several years because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Now the government is going to restart collections and everyone with student loan debt is losing their minds. Did they really think that day would never come?
