As Twitchy reported last week, Vice President J.D. Vance and his 3-year-old daughter were accosted by "Slava Ukraini" protesters. (Well, he says he was, but Ron Filipkowski called him "Jussie Smollett Vance.") Vance said he spoke with the protesters but "if you’re chasing a 3-year-old as part of a political protest, you’re a sh*t person."
One Ukrainian mother (we'll call her "Jussie Smollett Povoroznyk") was unmoved by Vance's story and told him to look at things from her perspective:
My four-year-old gets anxious whenever he has to take his nap in the daycare’s makeshift bomb shelter, which is almost daily. He also gets anxious whenever we wake him up in the middle of the night to take him to the bathroom because there are explosions outside our home. STFU.

Does that make it OK for protesters to hassle Vance when he's with his children? What does she want? The U.S. to send military aid to Ukraine so it can keeps its war going forever?
I'm on Ukraine's side with this one but it's a fantasy to think that Ukrainian troops will be able to drive back the Russians to the old borders. Billions of dollars in aid aren't going to win the war for Ukraine. Vance is seeking a peaceful resolution.
That sucks, I hate that for you and your kids. I’m a dad and would be terrified if this was happening in my country. But it’s also not America’s responsibility to protect you. That’s Ukraine’s responsibility, you know that. AND our president is pushing for peace for you.

JD Vance’s daughter never should have let Russia invade. I hope she apologizes to you @rynkrynk.

You want to protect your child and so does our VP. I hope your country representatives seek and find peace for their citizens. As a mother I feel for what you are going through . But your country is not the responsibility of the USA. It is not our war.

Tell your president to negotiate a peace deal.

My heart goes out to you and yours and all who are at war today, it is not America's responsibility, but your leaders.... America offered a way to peace and has been attacked ever since....

Posts like this are exactly why I don’t care what happens to Ukraine.

I care what happens to Ukraine, but that's no reason to tell Vance to shut up. I know we're not even going to get a thank you for the hundreds of billions of dollars spent to defend your country.

War sucks. Tell President Zelensky to come back to the negotiating table with a little less attitude this time.
