Politico: Frustrated Democrats Want the Senate to 'Blow This Place Up'

USAID-subsidized media outlet POLITICO has managed to keep putting out stories Wednesday even after a "technical glitch" meant that no one got their paychecks. Knowing that POLITICO is state-sponsored certainly makes it easy to see why they cover what they do and from what angle. On Wednesday, POLITICO is concerned with frustrated Democrats in the Senate. They apparently want to "blow this place up."

We've already heard a lot of violent or suggestive rhetoric from the Democrats at their little demonstration Tuesday in front of the Treasury. One congresswoman shrieked, "There's a revolution happening RIGHT HERE in these streets!" "Shut down the city! We are at war!"  screamed another. Rep. Jasmine Crockett, hero of her own comic book for Black History Month, brought some class to the proceedings by threatening, "We are going to be in your faces, we're gonna be on your ass, we're going to make sure you understand that this is what democracy looks like!"

I know what democracy looks like. The American people rejected Kamala Harris and elected Donald Trump in a free and fair election, knowing full well about his plans to create a Department of Government Efficieny with Elon Musk. That's why we voted for him. Democracy doesn't look like trying to incite riots in the street because your corruption has been exposed.

State-funded POLITICO reports that Rep. Chris Murphy is still being a drama queen:

“We’ve got to make things hotter,” acknowledged Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.), adding that the furor in the party will ultimately be channeled solely at Republicans: “Yes, there are people who are angry at Democrats. … But what I see now is the action is all focused, in the end, in one direction ... stopping the destruction of our democracy.”

[Rep. Alexandria] Ocasio-Cortez urged Democrats to “blow this place up.”

That reminds me of the first Women's March when Madonna said she had fantasies of blowing up the White House. Democrats certainly do indulge in a lot of violent fantasies in which they're the heroes. I don't want to hear any more about violent rhetoric when Democrats are declaring we are at war and we need to blow this place up.

It has to be performative anger, right? I mean, do all of these politicians go home at night and scream to themselves? How do they function in life if they don't control everything? I know that AOC goes home and makes angry TikTok videos.

I really thought for a moment after Trump's reelection that things might be different this time, and Democrats might work with the Republicans. But no, they're back to reflexively opposing everything Trump does and calling it a constitutional crisis.

It's really tedious.
