Joe Concha: NYT Outsourcing Its Research to Radical Media Matters

Townhall Media

Twitchy reported last Halloween about the hit piece the New York Times was putting together with the cooperation of Media Matters for America, the liberal media watchdog that tries to pressure advertisers to drop conservative outlets. The piece was a collaborative attempt to pressure Google, the owner of YouTube, to remove 30 voices for spreading misinformation: Rudy Giuliani, Tucker Carlson, Ben Shapiro, Kash Patel, Benny Johnson, Mike Davis, Ted Cruz, RFK Jr., and more.

Which makes it all the more sweet that Patel and Kennedy will have places in the Trump administration.

"Misinformation" and "disinformation" are just words thrown around to demonize conservatives, like "white supremacist" and "Christian nationalist."

As I wrote in March, X owner Elon Musk said he was preparing a thermonuclear lawsuit against Media Matters of America, whom Musk declared "pure evil." Media Matters had gamed to system to show advertisers their ads next to white supremacist posts. Musk was right: Media Matters is pure evil.

Donald Trump winning the election had Media Matters’ Angelo Carusone crying about the "right-wing misinformation engine” that had captured the minds of Trump voters and made them believe "a vote for Donald Trump is a vote for democracy."

Joe Concha told Fox News before the election that the New York Times was preparing another hit piece against Shapiro and Johnson over their coverage of the Kamala Harris campaign. As he says, the Times outsources its "research" to Media Matters, which is blatantly biased against conservatives.

… Rush Limbaugh, Andrew Breitbart, @TuckerCarlson, @BillOReilly, @glennbeck.

When Musk sued them 12 months ago, his attorneys noted: “This November alone Media Matters released over 20 articles (and counting) disparaging both X Corp. and Elon Musk — a blatant smear campaign.”

A NYTimes reporter tried to use MMFA’s “research” to smear @benshapiro as a spreader of misinformation.

MMFA instructs journalists on how to frame stories, always to promote the most progressive viewpoint. And it goes after a media outlet’s advertisers, shaming them into publicly pulling their ads if they dare challenge the legacy media’s approved narrative, whether or not the narrative is wrong. Remember @ThisisKyleR and @N1ckSandmann? (And check out what the legacy media outlet I worked for told me when I wanted to report what the FULL Sandmann video showed).

MMFA is the third installment in my four-part series about Big Censorship. If you value free speech, please read and share … and tune in to the great @larryelder radio show today where he and I will discuss my entire series about the media watchdogs who censor, and Trump’s plan to stop them.

In this installment, published by Just the News, you will also discover why MMFA is now attacking @megynkelly, @IngrahamAngle and @JesseBWatters. (Sorry for the large number of tags in this post, but there’s a lot to unpack here!)

Here are some of the questions I asked MMFA that they chose not to answer:

How much funding has MMFA received from George Soros?

From the Tides Foundation?

What other individuals or entities have supported MMFA?

Did MMFA manipulate pairings to show that ads routinely show up next to hateful, even pro-Nazi, content on 𝕏?

Follow the money, right? Who is funding Media Matters to do its "research"? Media Matters "researchers" do essentially what Brian Stelter does for CNN, which is watch Fox News all day looking for controversy. That anyone takes them seriously is a joke, which is why it's not surprising they've developed such a close relationship with the New York Times.

Earlier today, Sam did a post on the CEO of Axios melting down over Elon Musk's post, “You are the media now.”

"My message to Elon Musk is b*llshit. You're not the media!" he told MSNBC, home of conspiracy theorists like Joy Reid. “Social media people lying every day, every hour, every minute about the news, what you do matters. What the New York Times does matters. What the Wall Street Journal does matters."

What the New York Times does is reprint press releases from the Biden White House and the DNC. That doesn't matter.
