Salon Writing a Piece About the Prospects of a Special Counsel Investigating Clarence Thomas

Poor Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez … all of the media buzz over President Joe Biden fundraiser George Clooney writing an op-ed calling for Biden to drop out completely overshadowed her big news — she'd filed articles of impeachment against Supreme Court Justices Samuel Alito and Clarence Thomas. As we noted, most of the rest of the squad were co-sponsors: Reps. Barbara Lee, Rashida Tlaib, Bonnie Watson Coleman, Delia Ramirez, Maxwell Frost, Ilhan Omar, Jamaal Bowman, and Jasmine Crockett.

We haven't seen anything in the news today about it either. Salon, though, is reportedly working on a story about the prospects of a special counsel investigating Thomas. They reached out to the Manhattan Institute's Ilya Shapiro for comment, and here's what he wrote:

"… having lost control of the Supreme Court."

Talk about undermining the Supreme Court just because the Dems don't control it …

"… to overturn a federal law or agency decision.”

At least this takes some of the heat off of Alito for flying an Appeal to Heaven flag over his beach house last summer.

Apparently, a lot of people haven't. Congress really wants control of the Supreme Court.

"Expand the Supreme Court. And weaken it."

How about no.
