Shoppers Block Door, Trapping Shoplifters Inside

Twitter

Here's a feel-good story out of Nashville, Tenessee, where it seems they don't put up with shoplifters like they do in other cities, where employees are told to just let them steal and district attorneys won't prosecute them if they're caught anyway.

Speaking of caught, check out these shoppers barricading shoplifters in the store they were burglarizing.

The thugs were able to escape through the back of the store, however they were forced to drop all of the merchandise they had tried to steal.

At one point, one of the shoplifters was seen trying to plead with the Good Samaritans to let them out.

"South Precinct detectives are continuing to investigate Saturday afternoon’s attempted shoplifting at Perfumania in the Tanger Outlets," authorities said.

"Four suspects, who employees said had visited twice in the last week, attempted to steal hundreds of dollars worth of merchandise, but bystanders held the front door to block them from exiting."

"The suspects were able to leave through the back door but dropped all of the merchandise in order to exit empty handed."

I love the color commentary coming from the good Samaritans holding the door shut as they give the play-by-play on the burglars' actions.

It took the cops half an hour to get there. It doesn't sound like there were any arrests, but like I said, even if there were, they'd just let them go. Nashville's pretty blue, so I suspect they have district attorneys paid for by George Soros.
