Scotland’s First Minister Says the 'Far-Right' Is Accusing Him of Hate Speech

Twitter

Scotland is such a mess. As Twitchy reported, Scotland has passed a new hate speech law. It goes something like this:

The new training provided to officers, which was leaked to The Herald, requires police officers to go after anyone who produces material deemed "threatening and abusive," which can also be communicated through "public performance of a play."

Under the new hate crime law, people who make fun of or misgender trans people, make racial jokes or criticisms of certain religions, or criticize migrants can be prosecuted.

"The different ways in which a person may communicate material to another person are by: displaying, publishing or distributing the material, for example on a sign, on the internet through websites, blogs, podcasts, social media etc., either directly, or by forwarding or repeating material that originates from a third party, through printed media such as magazine publications or leaflets."

The hate crime law goes on to state that "giving, sending, showing, or playing the material to another person" listing examples such as "through online streaming, by email, playing a video, through public performance of a play."

J.K. Rowling has already dared Scotland to arrest her for "misgendering." And in a twist that everyone saw coming, the police department's new hate speech hotline has been flooded with complaints … about First Minister Humza Yousaf. The majority of the complaints are related to a 2020 viral video where Scotland’s leader went on an anti-white rant, saying there were too many white people in positions of power in Scotland.

A BBC News interviewer confronted Yousaf with his own words, and of course, he blamed the "far-right." Just like in America — anything you don't like is far-right.

Police are receiving on average 60 hate crime reports per hour since the law went into effect, most of them about Yousaf. There sure are a lot of far-right people in Scotland.

You get the government you vote for. They voted for this.

They should do the same thing in America. The term's become absolutely meaningless. Do a search on CNN's website for "far-left" and you get a couple of hits, the top one about left-handed people. Anything to the right of Karl Marx is far-right now.
