There's a lot of coping going on in the media now that Special Counsel Robert Hur's "right-wing hit job" on President Joe Biden was released. Some are trying to get the #BidenExonerated hashtag trending, and Biden himself tonight is praising himself for cooperating with the investigation. The thing is, Biden was not exonerated. Hur found that Biden willingly took classified documents even back when he was vice president. In other words, Biden is guilty. Hur just didn't recommend charges because he didn't think a jury would convict a well-meaning, elderly man with some memory issues. We've seen the photos of where Biden kept his classified materials — in cardboard boxes in his garage.

The White House communications staff is running around today trying to discredit Hur, telling everyone to look at page 384 of the report.
Everyone should look at page 384 (I know it’s a lot to scroll down)

The inappropriate criticisms of the President’s memory are inaccurate, gratuitous, and wrong. We told the Special Counsel this. pic.twitter.com/Cr6VifBMnv
Cool, so he's competent to stand trial.

Exactly.
lol.

Biden is taking a victory lap after his own DOJ said he’s too dumb and senile to remember he broke the law.
If this guy was any dumber he’d be put in a padded room.
The White House can't have it both ways: If Biden isn't senile, he's perfectly capable of sitting before a jury and defending himself.
Debate moderator John Harwood for some reason talked to Biden 10 days before Hur's interviews and found him sharp as a tack:
Hur did his version of Comey's "I have no case but need to slap 'em around a little" routine

as for Biden's mental fitness, I talked to him one-on-one at the White House 10 days before Hur did
here's the video; judge for yourselfhttps://t.co/uZHiWLjCo6
That's the other thing: They're trying to compare this to Jim Comey and "but her emails." Hillary Clinton was just as guilty as Biden, but nothing will happen to either of them.
And no, John, I'm not watching your stupid video.
Little John Harwood has big ideas.

He forgot when his son died, John. He’s supposed in charge of 14 carrier battle groups, John. He thinks François Mitterrand and Helmut Kohl are alive, John.

Did you provide all the questions in advance? And how much practice did Biden have?

You are not a serious journalist. TDS has broken you.

John, this is pathetic even for you.

The number of people who will sacrifice their integrity to prop up this guy is unbelievable.

Come on. All the signs are there. Any nurse working in a nursing home recognizes his odd behaviors very well. Why? They deal with dementia and Alzheimer’s patients. While not all behavior is the same there do seem to be some patterns. I know you know this.

Both my mother and mother-in-law had Alzheimer's, and they had good days and bad days. My mother continually confused me with my uncle, her younger brother. But she had good days, too. It's called sundowning.
Fortunately, Biden is addressing the nation tonight to reassure us his memory is fine:
In remarks assuring the nation that his mental fitness and memory are good, Joe Biden refers to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi as the “president of Mexico”

The only reason he wasn't charged, was because he had diminished faculties. So you're saying he's fine...therefore he is guilty and should be charged. You can't have it both ways. If he's not a sympathetic old fool and thus uncharged, then he's guilty.
