My sister is a teacher. My cousin is a teacher. My niece is a teacher. And all of them managed to get hired without dying their hair blue and getting a nose piercing. You see this parade of freaks on Libs of TikTok and you have to wonder if there are any standards left in the public schools. They have to be going out of their way to hire these people.
Jason Rantz reported earlier this week that a Seattle history teacher informed his students that it was offensive to identify as "straight," because that implied that people who are LGBTQ are "crooked."

We're guessing that you're supposed to identify as "cisgender." Elon Musk entered the fray this week tweeting, "Cis is a heterophobic word. Shame on anyone who uses it." I, myself, am a man, not a "cis man."

A controversial Seattle teacher allegedly told students that identifying as “straight” is offensive. He even scolded some of his male students for being a “product of the patriarchy that teaches young boys not to care.” It resulted in a parent filing a complaint with Chief Sealth High School. In defending the teacher, Seattle Public Schools (SPS) offered what appears to be a verifiably false statement to the media.
Tenth-grade Ethnic Studies World History teacher and self-identified communist Ian Golash asked students to complete a “Social Identity Wheel” worksheet, according to the parent, who asked for anonymity. It asks students to explain their various identities, including racial, ethnic, gender, socio-economic status, physical, emotional, or developmental disabilities, and sexual orientation. The worksheet is intended to tell students that their identities determine whether they receive unearned privilege or oppression.
The parent’s 15-year-old son labeled himself “straight.” Golash took issue with that word “because it implies that to not be straight is to be ‘crooked’ which could have a negative connotation.”
As I reported earlier this week, the DEI director at Johns Hopkins made "privilege" the word of the day and listed all of the people who have privilege, including middle-aged straight white men.

I reported before about Christopher Rufo uncovering public schools handing out these worksheets, where students are supposed to check off their "privilege" boxes to determine which students are the oppressors and which are the oppressed. It's all Marxism at heart; as James Lindsey says, the cause is never about the cause, the cause is always revolution.

NGO SCOOP: Ian Peter Golash (b. 08-25-72), the communist anti-police activist and teacher for @SeaPubSchools at Chief Sealth International High School who defends Hamas, is revealed to have a disturbing criminal history in Portland, Ore. He has had multiple arrests, including for assault and criminal harassment. He was convicted of the latter charge.
Again, do schools vet any of these hires, or are they just trying to give the DEI department a reason for existing?

If you’re going to be a teacher, you need to keep your politics to yourself. You were hired to teach your subject. You are not the parent. You don’t get to decide on what moral grounds a student’s opinions should be shaped. Teach your subject or find another profession

It's to let the straight white males in class know that they have unearned privilege and are the oppressor class and always have been.
I can't imagine having kids in public schools now, especially Seattle public schools.
