As Twitchy reported yesterday, three military secretaries published a joint letter in which they called Sen. Tommy Tuberville's hold on military promotions dangerous. Tuberville is protesting the military's payment for travel for service members to get abortions. Last year, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin noted after the Dobbs decision that “significant numbers” of service members and their families would be forced to travel, take time off work, and pay more out of pocket to receive reproductive care. What if you're stationed in a state where abortion is banned?
One of the signers of that letter, the Secretary of the Navy, Carlos Del Toro, went on CNN and accused Tuberville of aiding and abetting communists.
Secretary of the Navy on Tuberville: I would have never imagined that one our own senators would be aiding and abetting communist and other autocratic regimes around the world. This is having a real negative impact. pic.twitter.com/S8CHAoHY4d

Don't use taxpayer money to fund abortion tourism then.
Navy Sec. Carlos Del Toro not holding back on Tuberville:

“For someone who was born in a communist country, I would have never imagined that actually one of our own senators would actually be aiding and abetting communists and other autocratic regimes.” https://t.co/XiX9Dp6Pgz
Add this to the list of reasons we must win in 2024. To fire people like this.

"Pay for abortions or you are aiding and abetting communists." Jump in a lake, my dude. https://t.co/6WqIY9FM0w
I'd see the federal military fold-up shop before I would give into blackmail like that.

Biden and the DOD need to repeal their policy of violating the Hyde Amendment then.

Add Navy Secretary Carlos Del Toro to the list to be fired as soon as the current regime is gone.

LOL. Forcing nominees to go through regular order is "aiding and abetting communists." Is this parody?
— BruinEric (@BruinEric) September 6, 2023
How 'bout he dial up the Senate Majority leader and ask them to work more than a few days a week and put important nominations through in regular order
Not one mention of the fact that Tuberville has said if Schumer would put them up 1 at a time, he wouldn't block the vote, bit Schumer won't do it- keeps presenting as all or nothing list. Mr Navy Sec, you've shown your colors

If they did it that way, Congress would be able to approve these promotions one by one … therefore seeing what they were voting for.
The Tuberville military holds have revealed 2 things:
— Dan A Nygaard (@D_A_Nygaard) September 6, 2023
1) some of the military leadership is focused on progressive cultural change instead of winning wars
2) several leading generals have zero respect for civilian control of the military ~
It's astounding the degree to which the U.S. military has become woke. The military bought into DEI and is more concerned with diversity than the ability to fight.
