As Twitchy reported earlier, Rep. Darrell Issa had a forum in California Monday featuring Gold Star families who lost their loved ones in the botched withdrawal from Afghanistan. The parents had plenty to say to President Joe Biden, who ended up calling the withdrawal a "success." Thirteen U.S. servicemembers died as the result of a suicide bomber who targeted the airport where people were crowded together in a desperate attempt to get out of the country before the Taliban took over.
I really despise Joe Biden. I don't buy into his "grandfatherly" image at all. He flew off the handle at potential voters who dared question him at campaign stops. He lied consistently throughout his debate with Donald Trump. He lies all the time if he finds it politically beneficial. If he's addressing soldiers who fell ill after working in burn pits overseas, then it turns out his own son Beau died in Iraq, so he knows how it feels. He's lied several times about the circumstances of his son's death. Seriously? You're going to lie about your son dying overseas? That's pretty easy to fact-check, even for Glenn Kessler.
So when consoling one of the Gold Star moms in between checking his watch, Biden reportedly told her he knew how it felt, as his own son was brought home in a flag-draped coffin.

"When [Biden] approached me, his words to me were, 'My wife, Jill & I, know how you feel. We lost our son as well and brought him home in a flag draped coffin.'"

"My heart started beating faster & I started shaking, knowing that their son died from cancer & they were able to be by his side."
"How could someone be so heartless to say he knew how I felt."
Unbelievable.
At this point, dementia is the best possible excuse for Biden’s behavior. Because if he is mentally competent yet so causally lies in situations like this… that’s astoundingly vile.

Biden has told the lie of his son Beau dying in Iraq so many times it’s just second nature to him to push that lie.

Joe Biden is an absolute disgrace.

At this point he's probably been convinced that this is the truth

Contemptible.

And while I'm on the subject, how about Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton receiving those flag-draped coffins from Benghazi both fully knowing that it was a "protest" over a YouTube video was made up of whole cloth … by them. They too lied to the families to their faces. And the brain trust at The Bulwark is concerned Hunter Biden could become another "Benghazi" — just some meaningless campaign distraction.
Biden, Obama, Clinton … they're all contemptible.
