Earlier today, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was asked about the White House’s position on the claim that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis was guilty of false imprisonment and kidnapping after a flight of illegal immigrants was dropped off at sanctuary city Sacramento. Not even the White House would go that far, however, with Jean-Pierre saying that the flights were a dangerous political stunt.
Now California Gov. Gavin Newsom, who cited DeSantis for kidnapping, wants to “level set.”
Let's level set here.
A governor had to send his taxpayer funded operation to ANOTHER state to find people to use as pawns.
He lied to them. Bussed them to yet another state. Flew them on a taxpayer funded charter flight. Then dumped them on the steps of a catholic charity.… pic.twitter.com/NM2AnJv4tR

All for his own pathetic scheme to gain attention.
We will not be backing down from holding those involved accountable.
CZ Let's level set here.
You promoted your state as a sanctuary that welcomed illegal immigrants.
A smarter governor called your bluff and you have no clue what to do.
Your wish they not be in your state gives you a good sense of what other governors think. https://t.co/AYqUWzSbH9

Didn’t seem to bother you when the current administration was flying underage kids to NYC in the middle of the night 🤔
Or did you forget that?— Just Evan™ (@EvanPrinciple) June 7, 2023
Greasolini!
You're a pathetic hypocrite.

I'm fine with my taxes being used for this!
Can I donate more for this specifically?

Isn’t California a sanctuary state?

Let's level set. You've said many times that we are a sanctuary state and we welcome all refugees. So why are you throwing a tantrum about refugees coming from a different state?

The only thing that could make sending bus loads of immigrants to sanctuary cities any more fun is to stream it all live! This would be me watching from Texas… pic.twitter.com/e9WFnrirtZ

You're a SANCTUARY STATE so you INVITED THEM. Seriously you are the worst Governor in America's history. You INVITED Biden's illegal alien invasion, YOU deal with it. Florida and Texas DIDN'T invite them. You're a joke and not a man of your word.

Are you sending them back?

I thought you welcomed them. At least he's honest about the need for border security.
Sleep in the bed you made.

Accusing another governor of false imprisonment and kidnapping is kind of a big deal. And DeSantis is the one with receipts backing up the claim that all of the migrants signed waivers and chose to be on the flight.
Newsom’s shadow campaign against DeSantis is pathetic.
