As Twitchy reported, it looks like Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is going to announce his run for president on Twitter tomorrow night with Elon Musk. DeSantis didn’t have to announce, though, to become the target of Republican candidate Donald Trump, whose supporters are trying to make it look as though DeSantis fumbled the COVID-19 vaccine rollout in Florida.
In April 2021, “60 Minutes” was accused of deceptive edits and omissions in a hit piece on DeSantis alleging that he was making the supermarket/pharmacy chain Publix the distributor of the vaccine because Publix had donated to his campaign. Even a state Democrat called that charge bogus.
In August 2021, the Associated Press revealed the bombshell that a top donor to DeSantis had invested in shares of Regeneron, which DeSantis promoted as a treatment for those already infected with COVID. Jason Miller of Team Trump decided to retweet two-year-old story today.

You mean the drug that Trump himself took and that later received emergency use authorization from the FDA during the Trump administration? That drug? And you're going with a story about DeSantis from two years ago about it?

This is really a bad take. Y’all are going to have to do better with this topic. Sorry.

This is going to be a tough primary season if this is an indication. This editor is voting for whoever can beat Joe Biden, so seeing weak-sauce attacks like this one is depressing.
