It was just last week when The Nation informed us that women’s swimming is uniquely anti-transgender. A lot of this has to do with women’s swimming being dominated by whiteness: “Transphobia is often closely linked to white supremacy, as gender non-conformity threatens norms regarding white, Western gender ideals, and swimming’s history is decidedly anti-Black.” So it’s racist and anti-trans.
As you probably know, Nike recently gave female impersonator and Biden adviser Dylan Mulvaney a pile of money to make a TikTok video dancing around in a Nike sports bra and leggings. Adidas has apparently said, “Hold my beer,” and is having men model its new line of Pride-themed women’s swimwear:

I dont understand why companies are voluntarily doing this to themselves. They could have at least said the suit is "unisex", but they didn't because its about erasing women. Ever wondered why we hardly see this go the other way?

It’s ESG. They get ESG certification points in order to get the stock included in ESG indexes. Those purchases provide a short term boost to the stock which executives hope to cash in on or be awarded bonuses. They are not incentivized to consider long term brand damage.
