President Joe Biden recently announced that he was sending 1,500 active-duty troops to the border on the eve of Title 42 expiring. Biden made it clear in an interview that the troops wouldn’t be there in any law-enforcement capacity — they were just “freeing up resources” for the Border Patrol.
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott on Thursday posted a quick video of the Texas National Guard and Texas Department of Public Safety holding migrants at bay:
Thanks to the Texas National Guard and Texas Department of Public Safety. They are the only officials in America holding the line against an onrush of illegal immigrants. pic.twitter.com/OpLGEp3tXK

.@TxDPS & @TXMilitary have been working tirelessly in clearing out brush & placing concertina wire along the Rio Grande River in #Brownsville to repel illegal crossings between the ports of entry. Fox News’ Bill Melugin says the migrants appear perplexed as to why they’re not just being waved through. Word among them is that the border is wide open:
Texas continuing to take a much more direct approach these last couple of days – blocking migrants at the river’s edge after they cross into Brownsville illegally. The migrants continue to appear to be perplexed as to why they aren’t just being let in without any resistance. https://t.co/KMvEcssfaK

They are perplexed because they see nothing wrong with breaking laws.

Someone let them know it's because this isn't their country.

They are probably perplexed because their family and friends have been calling them for the last two years, saying that the border is open.

Almost like someone invited them🤔

Watch, DHS is going to send operatives to remove the wire.

It’s almost as if… they were told they’d get in with no problems at all 🥴

Notice how they put the women and the children first, close to the wire. They have been coached.

Seriously? They don't know why they're being turned away?

The wire slows them down and helps the flow to be more manageable. There are open spots, and the border patrol will let them know where they can come in. Nothing has changed it will just happen slower.

This is on Biden. These people believed they were welcomed! Now they don’t understand why they can’t just get in. What a mess!

Hey…this is not what Joe Biden told us would happen. He said we’d be greeted with open arms and receive a free cellphone and tickets to wherever we want to go. Thank God for Governor Abbott and the Texas Guard who aren’t afraid to do the right thing.

A lot of people are saying this is just for show and they may be right. Every one of these migrants will get through at some point — they’re certainly not going to turn around and go home.
