Someone’s not following the administration’s talking points. Democratic New York City Mayor Eric Adams, in a statement, called the surge of migrants over the border a “crisis.” We’ve been assured the border is under control and there is no crisis, although the lastest report from the chief of the Border Patrol suggests otherwise:
Woah!! Over 22,000 Border Patrol apprehensions in the last 72 hours, an average of over 7,000 per day, putting us right back into peak numbers we were seeing last year – as we are now 10 days away from the lifting of Title 42 and an expected major surge. Buckle up. https://t.co/rJPPeFZCqz

Over 7,000 apprehensions a day, plus three firearms and more than 800 lbs. of crystal meth. It’s only right that the people stupid enough to have built towns near the border should have to deal with this influx, right? Texas. Gov. Greg Abbott disagrees and is resuming the busing of migrants to sanctuary cities like Chicago and New York City, which have begged for federal assistance to handle their new residents.
Outgoing Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot says the city doesn’t have the space or resources for busloads of migrants.
Outgoing Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot is criticizing Texas Gov. Greg Abbott for resuming the "inhumane and dangerous" busing of migrants to Chicago, citing the city's lack of "shelters, spaces, or resources." https://t.co/SvxGR7VVN0

It’s dangerous and inhumane to send people to the city she ran for the last four years.

But I thought they were a sanctuary city?

What do Chicago and New York have in common? They’re both run by … wait for it … blacks. Not Democrats, but blacks.
in new statement, NYC Mayor Eric Adams slams Texas Gov. Greg Abbott following reports that he's planning to send more migrants on buses to cities including NYC, Chicago, and DC: "Put plainly, Abbott is using this crisis to hurt Black-run cities." pic.twitter.com/x5Sxbkqf9w

“… it is also impossible to ignore the fact that Abbott is now targeting five cities run by Black mayors,” Adams said in a statement. “Put plainly, Abbott is using this crisis to hurt Black-run cities.”
Adams pulled the race card pretty quickly.
Suck it up new York, DC, Chicago. You are sanctuary cities. Enjoy.

Nobody cares that they’re “black-run.”
The point is that the policies of the political party in charge of those cities for years have invited the problem Texas faces daily.
Those cities must now share the burden of the effect of the policies they enact.

If you declare yourself a “sanctuary city” you shouldn’t be mad when you are called on to provide sanctuary.

NYC mayor Eric Adams made numerous claims during the election that NYC would proudly remain a sanctuary city. Open up the checkbook, because they’re coming.

New York City is a sanctuary city, so it sounds to me like Governor Greg Abbott's just helping these illegal immigrants get to a city that claims to welcome them.
Might I suggest the mayor of New York turn his ire to the Biden administration for allowing this crisis to happen?

Democrat policies have hurt predominately black communities more than anything and for longer. Adams and other Democrats campaign on "sanctuary" policies while demanding that small, predominantly Hispanic border towns to bear the burden of their lawless virtue-signaling. https://t.co/LVgLDOSUNX
— Dana Loesch (@DLoesch) May 1, 2023
Is Adams concerned that Hispanics are taking over his black-run city?
Wait, "crisis"? "Hurt black-run cities"?
How many times have we been told how amazing an open border is and how immigrants add invaluable diversity and worth to a community? How would sending such people anywhere then hurt those communities?

Abbot has nothing to do with the miserable corrupt conditions in NYC. This is on you mayor and your woke democrat colleagues.

The voters elected Lightfoot and Adams knowing full well that they supported sanctuary city status for their cities. They literally asked for this. Trying to make Abbott out to be a racist is just pathetic.
