Last Thursday night, an 84-year-old man shot and wounded a black 16-year-old who had gone to the wrong house in Kansas City to pick up his twin brothers. The teen fortunately survived, and the shooter turned himself in and was charged with first-degree assault and armed criminal action. Was the shooting a hate crime? CNN’s Don Lemon tries to avoid talking about race, but in this case he made an exception and asked the man’s grandson how he knows his grandfather is a racist:
Don Lemon: Why do you say that your grandfather is racist?

“Grandson of white homeowner who shot black teen speaks out.”
Some more evidence: grandpa watches Fox News and believes in “conspiracy theories”

You can just tell that kid is destined for mediocrity and failure from that one answer.

Grandpa probably said something to him about his hairdo.
So, naturally, the snowflake turns him in.— Z 28.310 (@Wernick4Dallas) April 20, 2023
What a piece of shit grandson.

Ngl as soon as he said “fear mongering news stations” my mind immediately flashed back to the death toll ticker CNN had on screen for years

Christophobia, sexism, and ageism all in one answer, and too stupid to even see it.

Ugly-ass wannabe black white kid smearing his own progenitors is a new low even for CNN, unfortunately this is where we are after decades of an ideology that caters to the lowest common denominator.

This guy is stomping all over his own grandfather for Don Lemon’s approval, for attention from the leftists? What a scumbag.

What are they gaining by this segment. This is sick.

“That’s just how they are.” I wonder where I’ve heard that before?

So he came out generalizing and condemning a group of people while accusing that group of people of generalizing and condemning a different group of people.

Yes, that is called woke logic.

Who at CNN even thought to track down the grandson and get his response, anyway? Did they pre-interview the guy so they knew he was going to say this?

Update:
This is reportedly the grandson’s Twitter bio:
